Spring Porch Refresh
It’s officially Spring so I wanted to share my Spring porch refresh! It’s the perfect time to add new life into your home’s exterior. Just like changing your wardrobe for the season, updating your porch decor can give your home an instant face lift. I’ve linked everything from my recent Instagram post here, but I also wanted to share a few tips if you’re looking to do a porch refresh, too!
Style your doormat: Start your spring porch refresh by swapping out your doormat or porch rug. Since it’s right by your door, it sets the tone for your entire entryway. A trend I’ll never get tired of is layering doormats for added texture and visual interest. I love that you can keep the rug underneath the same for each season but just update the actual doormat with something affordable and seasonal and it still gives an entirely new look!
Add a seasonal wreath: Picture your door wreath as a pair of statement earrings for your home. Just like the perfect accessory can elevate an outfit, a wreath adds personality and charm to your door. Swap out your winter wreath for a more seasonally appropriate option with flowers, foliage, or even a new ribbon. This one from Pottery Barn is great for those looking for a pop of color, while this lavender option is great for those who prefer softer colors.
Switch out your greenery: We’re finally saying goodbye to winter greenery and trees to embrace brighter trees and foliage. I kept the same baskets that we used for winter (they’re a great price!) but updated with new greenery and love how much it changed the vibe of the porch!
My last tip is to get creative and add your own personal touches to make it feel like home! I added faux flowers that compliment the wreath and just that small detail made a big difference. Whether it’s displayed on a side table, in hanging planter or in a pot/vase like I did, flowers are the perfect accessory for your porch.
