Terms of Service

You have viewed our social media and website to get a feel for our services and design boards. You feel we are a good fit for your home and design preferences.

You are prepared to schedule a virtual design consultation with us and have a budget in mind.

You understand that Oak Haus Collective does not purchase furniture or décor items. The client will be responsible for bringing the vision to life once the design vision boards have been delivered by purchasing the furniture and décor items on their own.

You are prepared to purchase the items within 10 days of the final vision board delivery. Due to the nature of online shopping, items can go out of stock quickly so it is important to purchase items as soon as you can. We will source items that go out of stock within the 10-day time frame for no additional costs. After 10 days, there is a sourcing fee of $50/item.

You understand that we will not begin working on your selections/design until all “homework” or requested information has been sent to Oak Haus Collective. This includes but not limited to all requested measurements, favorite places to shop online, inspiration pictures (if you have any), definite items that you want included, and budget.

Once all homework has been turned in, we will begin your design. A typical turnaround time is 1-3 weeks per room or space. We will let you know in advance if there are any expected delays.

One revision is included for 10 days post final vision board delivery. After 10 days, there is a $50/item sourcing fee.

No refunds are issued after the virtual consultation and selections phase has started.

Oak Haus Collective will choose furniture sizing based on measurements provided by the client and shall be held harmless for relying on the accuracy of information provided by the client. The client will need to verify the measurements of the space and the item before they purchase any recommended products in the design. Oak Haus Collective will not be liable for any losses due to measurements provided by the client.

All returns and return fees will be the responsibility of the client.

You understand that this is a virtual design service. A design package includes one virtual 30-minute consultation, and the remainder of correspondence is communicated via email. The final designs are presented through a clickable PDF that has links to the suggested items.

Most of our items are linked through Liketoknow.it which provides Oak Haus Collective a (very small) percentage at no additional cost to you. We appreciate you supporting our small business by shopping through our links.

You understand that due to the service being virtual and online shopping, that Oak Haus Collective has not and will not see every item that we recommend in person. We use our design expertise along with online reviews via submitted texts and images to recommend products that best fit your style and budget. Items can appear different in person than presented online in product photos. It is up to the client to look at the reviews before deciding to purchase.

Design packages will be honored for 6 months from date of purchase. If the project has not started within the 6-month period and packaging prices have increased, the client will be invoiced for the difference and payment must be completed before the project can begin.

Oak Haus Collective typically shares designs on our social media. If you do not want your final design shared, please let us know at the virtual consultation.

Oak Haus Collective vision boards are conceptual in nature and are intended to set forth design intent; they are not to be used for architectural or engineering purposes. We do not include modifications to structural, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, ventilation or other mechanical systems in the project.

Oak Haus Collective will develop interior design specifications outlined in the agreed upon design package or services that may include coloration, fabrics, lighting, and furnishings as required. We do not include contractor services, landscape design, or architecture.

You acknowledge that project completion deadlines are subject to the vagaries of the marketplace, shipping times, and the performance of third parties.
