Take Measurements
To ensure that you choose the right size rug for your space, it's important to measure your room before making a purchase. How many times have you purchased a rug online, only to roll it out in the space and realize it’s too big or too small? We can help you avoid that mistake and save you time! Start by measuring the length and width of your room, as well as your bed, with a tape measure.
Pro tip: Use painter’s tape to mark out the size of the rug on your floor to get a better visualization and feel of how the rug size will look in your room.
Don't forget to consider traffic flow and doorways. It's important to make sure your rug doesn't impede movement or get caught under doors.
Consider Your Furniture Arrangement

This helps create a warm and cozy vibe throughout the room, not to mention protection for your beautiful floors. Having a full coverage rug gives an anchor to the room acting as a placemat for your furniture.
The most common rug sizes for full coverage are as follows:
King - 9x12
Queen - 8x10

Option 2: Two-thirds or Mid Coverage
This is a great option if your room, desire, or budget doesn’t allow for full coverage. You can place the rug two-thirds the way under the bed, leaving enough room for it to extend beyond the bed on both sides and out front. This still gives you a soft place to land your feet, anchors your furniture and can tie the whole room together.
